Im warmen Atem des Südens denkt Camus nicht in Schatten, sondern in Licht, das Schuld nicht tilgt, doch das Gesetz nicht braucht. Die Sonne brennt über Algier, kein Trost am Firmament – nur nackte Erde, Meer und Mensch. Sein Denken: ein Aufstand gegen die kalte Abstraktion, ein Nein zur Grausamkeit im Namen der Idee. Und dort, wo Cassano den Meridian sucht, zeichnet sich ein anderes Maß ab: nicht der Norden der Kontrolle, sondern der Süden des Maßhaltens und Loslassens. Ein Denken, das langsamer geht, näher am Leben, nah an der Küste des Anderen. Beide – Camus und Cassano – lauschen dem Süden, nicht als Ort, sondern als Haltung: Ein Denken mit der Haut, mit dem Blick, mit dem Mut, nicht alles zu zähmen. Im Süden, zwischen Licht und Meer, erwächst ein Widerstand aus Würde.

Biografie:
Aufgewachsen im Schatten eines gigantischen Stahlwerks, in einer Region, gesättigt mit Dreck und innerer Größe. Eine Familie mit Liebe. Auch in der Kindheit: der Duft der Pinien des Südens.
Studium der Geschichte an einer Universität aus purem Beton. Berlin! Bowie! Architektur! Frauen! Camus! Fotografie! Galerien in Berlin, Rom! Und immer wieder: der Süden und die Liebe. Ich freue mich auf Dich …
In the warm breath of the south, Camus does not think in shadows, but in light, which does not erase guilt, but does not need the law. The sun burns over Algiers, no solace in the sky – only bare earth, sea and man. His thinking: a rebellion against cold abstraction, a no to cruelty in the name of the idea. And where Cassano seeks the meridian, a different measure emerges: not the north of control, but the south of moderation and letting go. A way of thinking that is slower, closer to life, closer to the coast of the Other. Both Camus and Cassano listen to the south, not as a place, but as an attitude: thinking with the skin, with an eye, with the courage not to tame everything. In the south, between light and sea, a resistance grows out of dignity.
