Ich habe nie Tagebuch geführt. Ich habe fotografiert.
Irgendwann begann ich aufzuschreiben, was sich
zwischen den Bildern angesammelt hat.
Transit Diaries II handelt vom Zustand des Unterwegsseins,
der inneren Bewegung. Von den Gedanken, Gefühlen und
Wahrnehmungen, die sich mit dem Wechsel der Umgebungen
ändern. Weniger die konkreten Orte stehen im Fokus als
die eigene Verortung.
Alle Fotos sind auf Reisen entstanden und Ausgangspunkte
für assoziative Textfragmente. Manche bleiben nah an den
Motiven, andere lösen sich von ihnen und führen in ein
Dazwischen oder darüber hinaus.
Der Künstler:
Lars Wagner, Jahrgang 1977, arbeitet als freier Texter und
Künstler in Berlin. Wenn er gerade nicht schreibt, hat er meistens
eine Kamera in der Hand. Damit widmet er sich am liebsten den scheinbar unspektakulären und beiläufigen Momenten des Alltags und erforscht an ihnen die Eigenarten unseres Lebens.

I never kept a diary. I took photographs.At some point, I started writing down what hadaccumulated between the images.
Transit Diaries II is about being on the move and themovement within. About the thoughts, feelings andperceptions that shift as the surroundings change.It’s less about the actual places and more about whatthey touch in us.
All photographs were taken while traveling and arestarting points for associative fragments of text.Some stay close to the motifs, others break away fromthem and lead into a space in between or beyond.
The artist:
Lars Wagner, born in 1977, works as a freelance copywriter and
artist in Berlin. When he is not writing, he usually has a camera in
his hand. He prefers to capture the seemingly unspectacular and
casual moments of everyday life, using them to explore the
peculiarities of our living.
